OLD Audiophile July 25, 2010 Larry Wolford (Washington State) Just a a note about the Onkyo SKW-204: The factory has choosen the dubious "Dynamic" power rating. Using the old engineer's "rule of thumb:" 60% of input power for the true RMS output power, I would guess this is really about 80 watts RMS. But this is a good low powered sub for acoustical music. I have the Polk PSW10 in another room, which I also use for acoustical music and consider it a better $$ deal. Remembering that it takes 10 times the power to produce a doubling of sound pressure(10 decibles), I would consider the Polk too. Neither sub will give you an "F-18 Hornet 'Fly by' with the after burner on" in a large room, but it is still an XLNT low powered sub. ENJOY !!
poorhows June 14, 2010 Donald M. Wilsn Jr. After my JBL 250 watt took a dive I decided to try this Onkyo since I have an Onkyo receiver. Best chance I ever took. My room is 18 x 25 and the woofer doesn't have a problem... Highly recommend.
Nothing to say for that price May 30, 2010 Jun Chen (Toronto, CA) The sound is just not bad, but when I turn the output loud, it will produce some messy noise. But for that price, what I can say?
Amazing sub for a very low price! May 29, 2010 John Allen (Tacoma, WA USA) I Now had this sub for a month and did comparisons with my Klipsch sub12 and have to say I'm very imprest with its capabilities. Not as powerful as the Klipsch but competative. I would recommend this Onkyo sub for any application.
Great bass sound for the price April 27, 2010 J. Peters (Hollywood, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have this sub hooked into my Sony DH-700 and I love it. Lows are tight and powerful. At half volume the sound fills a large room.
