I would like to write a longer review when I have some more time, but for now:
I bought these speakers a year and a half ago. I did my homework on the web and in stores/homes listening to speakers, and although I liked some higher priced speakers more (particularly a pair of Klipsch that would've cost about $1000), I decided on these - a gamble, as I had only read a handful of reviews on the manufactures' website. I've been really happy with them. They look beautiful, they're built very solidly, and the sound very nice. You do not get the exceptional highs of Klipsch or the bass response of some other brands, but paired with a good subwoofer, amp, and turntable or CD player, these speakers sound really excellent.
And after over a year and a half of use, I still don't see or hear any wear and tear.

I bought these speakers to listen to classical music, jazz, and classical rock. I own two other
pr. of speakers.... Magnepans (MMG's) and Morel Renaissance Duet's. In my view, the less expensive
Premier Acoustic PA-6F's compare quite favorably with them. Nice transparent detailed sound with good
imaging and enough bass that I don't need a sub-woofer. I accidentally ordered the black ash veneer
--which is okay, considering that my electronics(NAD integrated, Denon CD/DVD) are nearly
black-- but I wish that I had the cherry veneer. Everyone seems to love that finish.

I was unfamiliar w/ this brand but had challenged myself to put together a "good system" on a budget for my "home away from home" business abode. I read some reviews and did some moderate homework first of course. I decided that this pair constituted the best value for my dollar. I do not advocate buying speakers without listening to them first but figured at this price point, I couldn't go wrong. I have not been disappointed in the least. I would absolutely recommend them whole heartedly. They arrived quickly and in their well packaged factory boxes. Right out of the cartons, one is immediately struck with both their heft and sheer beauty. Make no mistake, these are gorgeous looking speakers!! Beauty is however skin deep after all... especially in a speaker. What did they sound like? In a word; wonderful! Are they the equivalent of my Definitive Technology speakers at home - no. Compare and contrast the price though!! Great bang for the buck here folks! They produce "a strong, good & honest sound." I could go into subtleties & nuance but let's face it, we all have different ears. What sounds good to me won't necessarily sound good to you sort of thing... I'm just gonna' wrap this up by saying that at this price, I don't believe that you are likely to find better. Give them a shot. I'd darn near go as far as to say that I "guarantee" you won't be disappointed. I am extremely pleased with these speakers and am happy to have purchased them. I would definitely do it again!!
*These speakers probably rate five stars but I've only owned them for about six weeks and therefore hesitate to give the "ultimate" marks w/out first making sure that they've got "staying power" and will stand the test of time. To truly be the best bang for the buck they've got to go the "long haul" if you know what I mean...

dont know about the other posters experience, but as for mine i'm very happy with these speakers. bought these for my son and daughter in laws apartment. the sound is very detailed with good amount of bass and nice crisp highs. of course you'll want a good sub to round out your low end but for a front soundstage these speakers are awesome. not to mention they are beautiful speakers. very well made. recommended!

The title speaks everything! That's all I got from these speakers.Very nice exterior and the look of speaker drivers. Regarding sound quality, I wish somebody can tell me how to change drivers in this pair of speakers. I bought polk audio monitor to replace them. But since they're such a beautiful pair of speakers outside, they're still sitting in my family room.
ps.I finally gave this pair of speakers to my gardener free. I'm not pro but I know the difference between good and bad speakers. I used PIONEER VSX-1016 TXV receiver to test speakers with music like Jah by Chris Smith, Evolution by Bill Miller ..and pop music...
