I got these from Amazon.com for super cheap. Total came to like $104 including shipping and no tax because they came from Oregon. I researched speakers for a while, and I am not using these for home theater like everyone else is, I am strictly using them for music only. I was scared that they weren't going to perform very good for music. But they were awesome, I mostly listen to Hip-Hop,Reggae,Funk, or smooth Jazz. They sound awesome but if you listen to the music I do you need more bass. Most of the guys on here will tell you to get a sub-woofer, but the bass that I want to hear is the mid-bass not that really annoying crashing,loose,ugly,nasty bass from most sub-woofers. If your looking for the type of bass that is tight,punchy,and controlled, then definitely don't get a home theater sub, you would be smarter to run either a car sub in your house, because car subs are specifically designed for music unlike home theater subs. You can either run the car sub or what I did was pick up some old speakers with really big woofers like 10-15" and those will get you the mid-bass. Overall these are not the best speakers on the market, however for the money they are a true value.

I've been a fan of Polk speakers for more than 20 years but these speakers sound way better than they have any right to given their the price and size.

These sound very good, strong bass and very clear sounding. I use these to mix music tracks recorded on a Tascam 8 track digital and it works great for that. Smaller than the old Sony bookshelf speakers I was using and much, much better sounding. Highly recommended.
